In this lecture, I will give a quick introduction on the theory of scintillation from a thin screen, and how scintillation parameters relate to the geometry and velocity of the pulsar and screens.

You will need psrchive to convert your archive into a dynamic spectrum (copy singularity image). The tutorial will follow an ipython notebook, using basic packages (numpy, scipy, astropy)

Data: Have a handy copy of any archive that you wish to look at for scintillation. Remember it needs to have full time and frequency information, not t- or f-scrunched. There will be an example dynamic spectrum included in the github above
