It takes the form of unwanted, artificial, non-Gaussian signal in radio observations, and is caused by many conveniences of the modern age, from mobile phones to microwave ovens. This talk will cover the basics behind the RFI phenomenon, show examples of problems you may come across while searching your data for pulsars/single pulses, and highlight some examples of software and techniques which could be useful for cleaning up your data.
