With this lecture and hands-on session we will look at the basic principles of interferometry and imaging, and hopefully build up an intuition and understanding of these principles. We will look at some Fourier transforms, interferometer systems, the UV plane and how these will all feed into imaging at radio frequencies. We furthermore look at cleaning these radio images using the ubiquitous CLEAN algorithm. | With this lecture and hands-on session we will look at the basic principles of interferometry and imaging, and hopefully build up an intuition and understanding of these principles.
